Message From Richard T. Bryant, President & CEO

We recently concluded our most successful season to date, which brought world-class artists to our stage and many new faces through our doors. Dora the Explorer Live! proved not only that we can mount fully-staged theatrical productions, but we can also attract an audience for high-end children’s programming.

Hank Williams Jr. shared his own rollicking brand of country music. The Dave Brubeck Quartet gave us a powerful lesson in brilliance and longevity while also affording us the opportunity to showcase legendary Urbie Green, the legendary trombonist who resides in the Poconos. Michael Feinstein and Linda Eder beguiled us with sumptuous American songs and Blues Traveler brought a full house of “twenty-somethings” while allowing us to bring another area group, the Scott Weiss Band, as the opening act. The highlight for many, however, was our final performance of the season, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, who delivered a light-hearted and lush mix of seventies classics with special guest, Rockapella.

Soon, we will begin scheduling the programming for next season and you will be the first to hear about the exciting Summer 2007 line-up. I look forward to seeing you often at the Mountain Laurel Center!
